I’m Scott, a graphic designer based in Chicago, Illinois. After spending most of my life in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I recently made the move south. Between settling into a new city and starting a new chapter, this website has become a place to document the projects, ideas, and rabbit holes that capture my attention.
Professionally, I’ve spent more than a decade as a graphic designer, creating everything from branded marketing collateral, brand identities, digital campaigns, and motion graphics. Design has taught me to notice details, remain curious, and appreciate craftsmanship. These habits spill into almost everything else I enjoy.

I created this website to collect the things that keep me curious. Sometimes that’s documenting a bicycle restoration, experimenting with bookbinding, or redesigning old packaging. Other times it’s writing about what’s kept me occupied during the month.
I don’t pretend to be an expert in everything I write about. Most of these posts are simply notes from someone who enjoys learning by making and tinkering, and sharing the process along the way.
